So sorry that we have been MIA for a month now. This summer is flying by and we are trying to take in every minute of it. Madi is SOOO close to crawling. She is up on her hands and knees and rocking back and forth. Boy will my world be rocked when she takes off. She still only has 2 teeth, but judging from her mood I am guessing more are near. She is eating like champ too. We have tried all the fruits and veggies. She even gets some biter biscuits and some puffs (which a friend of ours calls flavored air). As for Owen....he is to smart for his own good. I am continually amazed at how much he knows and how much he talks (like really...he doesn't stop) he even talks in his sleep. He just got his hair cut into a mohawk (or homawk). He wouldn't let me do it, but we went to a kid friendly place and he watched Dora while the lady cut away. He is doing better in the potty department. We are getting there.

Snappy Kid

Owen's playgroup got to take a tour of Snappy Tomato Pizza. Here is Owen helping make the dough.

He even got a bit of dough to play with.

Madi got in on the Snappy fun too.

After making his own pizza (with cheese, 1 pepperoni and some ham) Owen really enjoyed his lunch.

Haircut and Happy Baby

Owen (and Mommy) decided it would be a good idea to get a mohawk or as Owen calls it a Homawk. So here he is practicing in the bathtub.


Actual haircut day did not go so well. He HATED having his hair cut. Maybe next time I will leave it to the professionals.

I love the hat. One of our wonderful neighbors just gave us a bunch of new clothes including this hat.

The sweetest smile ever. Try as I might I couldn't get a picture of Madi's 2 new teeth. That is right I said 2 new teeth. They are just now breaking through so we shall have pics soon.

When we got back home we went to the park for a few minutes until dad could meet us for dinner. All I can say is thank goodness that I had a suitcase full of dry clothes.

Horray.... The the whole family is so glad that Owen is home. he had a great time in Owensboro and has already asked to go back to Ma and Papa's house (which I tried really hard not to take offense to).

So, no new pics today since the batteries have been dead in the camera for over a week. I did get a short video of Madeline laughing hysterically at Owen splashing in the bathtub. As soon as I figure out how to get a video on here I will show it off. So, the real reason I am posting is that I MISS Owen. He has gone off to Owensboro for a week with Ma and Papa. He is having a blast with the family but I miss the bugger. Madi is enjoying all my attention though so I guess I will have to buck up and deal with it :) More pics soon I promise

The best way to be sure that your kid gets really clean in the bath is to cover him in paint first :)

She even looks sweet when she had a double ear infection (her second one in her 4 short months). We were at the Dr. this morning for both kiddos and poor Madi is not feeling well. They gave her an antibiotic so hopefully she will be feeling better soon.
